Healthy Stress Relief Tips + Nervous System Support

When you're feeling overwhelmed and need support

Stress. We've all been there and knowing how to navigate stress in a way that's right for YOUR mind and body more important than ever.

Most suggestions for stress-relief are to slow down, to meditate or relax. And for some people, that's perfect. Yet for many others, lying down can cause more anxiety. This means it's important to have many tools in your stress release toolbox so that you can feel more inspired and empowered to do the things that truly support you.

Here's the thing, stress is actually normal. It's true! We're designed to handle stress, it's only when we've adapted to long periods of stress that it takes its toll on our body and mind. A healthy response to natural daily stressors means that we respond accordingly and then easily shift back to a more balanced state.

How do you know when you have a healthy stress response? And how do you develop it?

Sit back, relax and get cozy and watch the video below as Brea Johnson shares some perspectives and insights around stress, the power of mindful movements and reframing what rest, relaxation and nervous system support can mean.

You'll find this lesson inside the Heart + Bones online yoga studio. We focus on not just healthy, loving movement practices but accessible education so that you can better understand (and love) your body, mind, and heart.
