5 Days to Restore: Day 3
Hello again, here you are. Give yourself a big deep breath and gratitude for showing up for yourself today.
Day 3: Legs Up The Wall (or chair)
Today we flip our perspective and feel the support of the ground beneath us. Legs up the wall or Viparita Karani pose is a much-loved pose here at Heart + Bones Yoga and is a favourite pose to do in the middle of a busy and stressful day or the perfect way to unwind just before bed.
The benefits of this pose are many and today you'll enjoy an extra little bit of hip release movements for accumulated tension. If you want to set your space up with some soft lights and quiet music to accompany you in the relaxation, that might feel extra delightful today.
What you need:
Even though the pose is called, Legs Up the Wall, you don't have to use a wall. It can feel really wonderful to rest your legs on the seat of a chair or couch. Or if you don't have any available wall space, you can use the back of a closed door or even your headboard in your bed. Choose which option feels the most nourishing to you today.
You can also grab a blanket for extra coziness.
