Modern Yoga Certification Course Terms & Conditions
Welcome to the teacher training program! This might look like a lot,
but it’s a standard "online course" style of agreement - and we simply
want to make sure that we're all on the same page.
Your access to and use of this Site and courses is subject to legally binding terms and conditions, which you accept and agree to by accessing this Site. The following terms and conditions form a binding agreement (“Agreement”) between you and Heart and Bones Yoga Inc ("Heart & Bones"). Heart & Bones may modify, amend, supplement and replace these terms and conditions at any time without advance notice. Your continued use of this Site after any change means you have accepted the changed terms and conditions.
Benefits of the Modern Yoga course:
The course is a well-rounded look into the world of bodies in movement, and is a wholesome overview of everything you need to know to be successful at teaching them. Your Modern Yoga Certification Course includes pre-recorded online content, as well as at least 14 live calls, Q&A sessions, and guest lectures. You will also have 1 year of free membership for the Heart + Bones online yoga studio where you can integrate the concepts learned into your body through the many yoga and movement classes. You will also have the opportunity to teach and collaborate with your peer group in many ways. Becoming a Heart + Bones teacher / alumni grants you access to our worldwide community of certified instructors, ongoing opportunities for growth and visibility through Heart + Bones, and continued access to the ever-expanding content of the Certification Course in the future.
Content Terms + Conditions:
The video content of the course is available to stream or download to your computer and/or other device(s) solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree to not otherwise copy, reproduce, distribute or use the content other than as set out in this contract. You must not sell, transfer, lease, modify, distribute or publicly perform the content in any manner and you must not exploit it commercially.
Payments:
Payments made towards the course are non-refundable, and any payment plans must be completed & paid in full by the agreed end date. Any previous investment in the Essentials course and/or the Modern Yogi Teacher Development course can be applied towards the Modern Yogi Certification Course tuition. The non-refundable payments ensure that those who join the certification are truly committed. We have created a flexible training schedule with options to defer to subsequent years, as well as opportunities to join in future trainings.
We use Stripe.com to process single and recurring payments for plans and subscriptions. In this case, your card is securely stored with Stripe.com and future transactions are scheduled through Stripe Billing. This process keeps all our customer data secure and allows you to take advantage of our payment plans and subscription options.
Payment Plans:
There are two options for payment plans. You can either pay up-front in full or you can pay in monthly installments. Please note that for monthly payments, Stripe will automatically deduct the amount from the account information you provide Stripe. Please note that a payment plan is not a membership, and cannot be canceled at any time. By signing up for our payment plan, you agree to pay the balance owing of your payment plan. We will set up monthly payments that will be automatically debited from your credit card until the end of the agreed payment period. If a monthly payment defaults, several automatic attempts will be made to secure payment through your chosen payment method. If your payment cannot be processed after those attempts, your account will be suspended and you will not have access to the online course until the payment has been made.
Deferrals & Cancellations:
Please note that orchestrating the trainings takes a huge commitment of time, effort, and money on our part. Given the nature of the online course, there is already a lot of flexibility in the pace of study. You are expected to complete the course within the boundaries of your cohort (i.e. start & end date of your scheduled training), as we've allocated certain resources based on the number of students for each year. We understand that life is full of surprises, and we’re happy to support you no matter what. But as the Modern Yogi community grows, we're learning to set certain boundaries to make sure that everything flows smoothly.
We want to make sure that every person in the training feels seen, heard, and taken care of - and therefore each additional person in the training requires extra resources on our end. It is your responsibility to complete the course requirements in time for your cohort’s scheduled graduation. If for some reason you're unable to go through with the course and you must join the next cohort of Modern Yogis, we'd be happy to help - however, there would be an investment of $300 CAD to off-set the logistical costs of adding more people to the following year's training. All course registrants have to complete their certification within 3 years, which means that you can only defer the training twice (and pay the deferral fee each time).
You always have the freedom to withdraw from the certification process and/or continue your studies on your own. If you wish to withdraw from the course, you will still be required to complete all of your outstanding payments - otherwise your access to the course content and/or your free studio membership will be withdrawn.
Access to content:
The course content is 100% online, and is accessible indefinitely through your Heart & Bones account (regardless of your membership status), as long as all of the course payments have been completed in full.
